Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about love story, couples, family, maternity, engagement, wedding and newborn photography sessions.

I specialize in love story photography (couples, engagements, anniversaries, proposals) and family photography (maternity, newborn, kids, and multi-generational). I also take a limited number of intimate weddings and elopements each year, depending on availability.
A love story session is a couples shoot focused on connection, movement, and real moments - less posing, more storytelling. I’ll guide you with simple prompts so your photos feel natural, romantic, and true to who you are together.
Yes. Engagement and anniversary sessions are some of my favorites because they’re relaxed, meaningful, and all about your relationship. We can keep it casual with a walk-and-talk session or plan a more styled, cinematic vibe.
Absolutely. I’ll help you choose a location, timing (best light), and a simple plan to keep it a surprise. After the proposal, we’ll take 10–20 minutes for “just engaged” portraits while the excitement is still fresh.
Most love story sessions are 60–90 minutes so we have time to ease in, move around, and capture variety. Family sessions are usually 45–75 minutes depending on ages, location changes, and how much time you want for group combinations.
Sessions can be outdoors (beach, park, city streets, mountains), at home (lifestyle), or occasionally in a studio setting if available. If you’re not sure what fits, I’ll recommend locations based on your style, season, and the best light.
Golden hour-about 1–2 hours before sunset-gives the most flattering, romantic light for love story sessions. For families (especially with young kids), we can also choose a time that fits naps and energy, and I’ll pick a location with good light at that hour.
Yes. You don’t need to know how to pose. I’ll guide you with easy prompts (walking, talking, cuddling, playful moments) and small adjustments so you look natural. The goal is connection-not stiff, “perfect” posing.
After booking, I’ll share a simple style guide. As a quick rule: choose neutral or coordinated colors, avoid large logos, and wear something you can move in. Textures (knit, denim, linen) photograph beautifully, and coordinating (not matching exactly) looks best for families.
Yes. If you tell me your vibe (cozy, editorial, beachy, city, nature) I can recommend locations and color palettes that photograph well there. I’m happy to review outfit photos and suggest small tweaks that make a big difference.
If weather is unsafe or truly unworkable, we’ll reschedule. If it’s just cloudy or lightly drizzling, we can often still shoot (clouds can be beautiful). We can also pivot to an in-home session for a cozy, documentary feel.
That’s normal and expected. Family sessions are built around movement and play, not perfect stillness. We take breaks, follow your child’s pace, and focus on connection and genuine moments-those often become the favorite images.
Of course. Multi-generational sessions are a great way to document your family story. Share an estimated headcount and any mobility considerations so I can recommend the right session length and a location that’s comfortable for everyone.
Yes. Maternity sessions are typically best around 28–34 weeks. Newborn sessions are usually scheduled within the first 7–21 days for sleepy newborn moments, but we can also do a relaxed lifestyle session later if you prefer.
To book, send an inquiry with the session type and a few date options, or write/call me directly. Once we choose a date, your booking is confirmed with a contract and retainer. I’ll then send next steps (style tips, location planning, and what to expect).
For best availability, book 2–6 weeks in advance, especially for weekends and golden-hour sessions. For maternity and newborn planning, reaching out earlier helps us reserve the ideal window.
Pricing depends on session length, the number of edited images, and options like extra time or additional locations. Message me with what you’re planning (couples, proposal, family, maternity, newborn), and I’ll share current packages and help you choose the best fit.
You’ll receive a curated gallery of professionally edited, high‑resolution images. The exact number depends on the package you choose, but I focus on delivering a complete story-not just a fixed count.
Typical turnaround is about 1-2 weeks for couples and family sessions (a bit longer during peak season). I’ll confirm your delivery timeline when you book so you can plan around announcements, gifts, or events.
I don’t deliver RAW files because editing is a key part of my style and the final result. You will receive fully edited, high-resolution images ready for printing and sharing, plus web-size versions if included in your gallery.
Yes. I’m available for select travel sessions. Travel fees depend on distance and timing, and I’ll always suggest the best time of day for light. If you have a dream location in mind, tell me and I’ll share options.
Yes, on limited dates. Mini sessions are a short, efficient option for updated family photos or quick couples portraits. They’re seasonal and book quickly, so check the booking page or join my updates list for announcements.
Yes, but in a limited capacity. I prioritize love story and family sessions, and I take a small number of intimate weddings and elopements each year. If your day is relaxed and story-focused, reach out and I’ll share availability.
